UK tests axed for fully jabbed

Bonus for skiers

The Day 2 test for fully vaccinated travellers has been dropped. The change took effect at 4am on 11 February - in time for the school half term holidays - but comes as a bonus for silver skiers, for whom this has been the third consectuve frustrating winter - and those contemplating other winter breaks in the remainder of the low season. The requirement for tests before returning from abroad had already been scrapped. To remove all the holiday headaches, however, will require other Governments (including the French - see story below) to relax their own restrictions - notably demands for negative tests shortly before departure from the UK.
